Hey I’m M. Night Shyamalan, producer, director and writer of several films. I recently directed feature film “The Happening.” I’ve also directed "Praying with Anger," "Wide Awake," "SixthSense," "Unbreakable," "Signs,” “The Village,” and Lady in The Water.” I was born in Pondicherry India in 1970, and began making films at the age of 10 in Philadelphia. At 16, I completed my 45th short film. At age 17, I stood before my parents, both doctors, surrounded by pictures of the other twelve doctors in the family, and informed them that although I had received academic scholarships to several prestigious medical programs, I instead intended to study filmmaking. I have formed my own production company, Blinding Edge Pictures, which is based in a suburb outside of Philadelphia where I currently reside with my family.
